Appointed as section engineer under the Mines and Works Acts for the maintenance, functioning and upgrading of all electrical and mechanical equipment for two shafts at Winkelhaak Gold Mine.
Equipment included shaft winding (people & materials), electrical distribution, ventilation systems, pumping (water & sludge), compressed air systems, hazardous areas, etc.
